Case study · Concept — Restaurant
Osteria Vela
A cinematic site for a modern Italian restaurant and wine bar in Miami, where guests read the menu, plan their evening with a live estimate and book a table. Built to show how a restaurant can keep all of it on its own site.

03 — The problem
The problem.
Restaurant sites tend to look like every other restaurant site, hide the menu in a PDF and send guests to a third-party page to book. The goal was to show a site where guests can read the menu, plan the evening and book the table without ever leaving it.
04 — The system
The system.
Build the site around one path — see the plates, read the menu, plan the evening, book the table — with the plan carried straight into the reservation so nothing is asked twice, and a separate planner for private dinners, where the room and the timing matter as much as the price.
05 — Experience
The experience.
A responsive, cinematic site with a rail of five signature dishes in the hero, a full menu with details for every dish, a Plan Your Evening tool with a live per-guest estimate and a plan you can share, a four-step reservation that ends with a calendar file, a private dining planner that recommends a room and shows a live estimate, a 25% deposit and a timeline for the evening, and an illustrated Visit map that shows whether the restaurant is open right now — built as a working concept rather than a mockup.
